In May 2015, Frank Leon Roberts served as the Keynote Speaker for New York University's "Black Student Graduation Ceremony,"---a special university wide event organized by NYU's Black Student Union. His talk was entitled, "Baltimore Is Burning."

In December 2015, Frank Leon Roberts was one of several dozen organizers profiled by CNN for shutting down New York City's West Side Highway in response to the non-indictment verdict in the Eric Garner case.
